Why the project exists
Blackjack advice is often presented as a chart without context. Third Base turns those decisions into repeatable hands and immediate feedback. A learner can choose common table assumptions, make a decision, see the recommended action, and continue through a multi-deck shoe while following the running and true counts.
The project is independently developed and maintained. It is not a casino, gambling operator, betting affiliate, or financial service. It does not accept deposits, place wagers, award prizes, or connect users to real-money games.
Editorial and product principles
- Rules before recommendations. Strategy claims should identify the dealer rule, deck count, split assumptions, and other material conditions.
- Testable behaviour. The game engine and strategy table are kept as readable source code and covered by automated tests.
- No profit promises. Correct basic strategy reduces avoidable decision errors; it does not guarantee a win or remove the house advantage.
- Learning before monetisation. Content and trainer controls must remain usable without confusing or aggressive advertising.
