Core standards
- Write for a learner’s decision rather than a search-engine variation.
- State material assumptions such as deck count, S17/H17, blackjack payout, doubling, peeking, and splitting.
- Distinguish facts, implementation choices, estimates, and opinion.
- Do not promise profit, “safe” gambling, or a system that removes risk.
- Give meaningful review dates and revise pages when the implementation changes.
Source hierarchy
Primary rules, legislation, regulator guidance, official help resources, and the project’s tested source code take priority. For mathematical strategy, Third Base compares established specialist references and checks recommendations against the stated rules. A source is not treated as reliable merely because many websites repeat it.
Pages should link to the closest available source and avoid long copied passages. Material uncertainty or disagreement should be described instead of hidden.
Product testing
The trainer engine and recommendation table are maintained separately so game settlement and strategy feedback can be tested independently. Automated tests cover multi-ace totals, S17/H17 behaviour, blackjack payouts, pushes, doubling, splitting, split aces, exposed-card counting, pair recognition, hard/soft strategy, and unavailable-action fallbacks.
Passing tests support consistency; they do not prove that one compact table represents every casino rule. The exact current scope is documented in How the Trainer Works.
Review and corrections
New factual pages should receive a technical review before being added to the sitemap. Material changes update the page’s review date. A correction should identify the original claim, revised claim, reason, and supporting source where practical.
Readers can submit a correction through the public issue process. Reproducible trainer errors receive priority over cosmetic preferences.
Commercial independence
Third Base currently carries no ads, paid placements, casino affiliate links, or sponsored reviews. If advertising is introduced, it will be visually separated from editorial content and will not determine strategy recommendations. Sponsorship or affiliate relationships, if ever used, must be disclosed on the relevant page.
Automation and assisted drafting
Tools may assist research, drafting, formatting, or testing, but generated text is not accepted as a source. Claims must be checked against the implementation or a cited external source. The operator remains responsible for what is published.
